Jess is a Senior at Gettysburg Seminary and she will be working with us part time as our Senior Seminarian during the 2011-12 Academic year, starting on Sunday, September 11.
With our two interns returning to college just a few weeks ago, our council felt it was important to provide additional leadership for our youth ministry efforts (and help David Shaffer grow the program even more this academic year!). Jess will help on Sunday mornings with Confirmation, assist in worship at times, help with youth group activities, and assist us in proactively reaching out to get kids involved.
Jess will do a great job for us! She was a member of Pastor Dave’s church in Camp Hill, PA from 1995-2001. He puts it this way- “Jess was a catalyst for my youth program and always the very first person I called to sign up for events. If Jess signed up (which she always did!), it was easy to get the masses."
Jess worked at Camp Kirchenwald in the summers during her college years and then served for 2 years as the youth director of Zion Lutheran, a large and dynamic church in York, PA. Her seminary internship was in rural Virginia. Jess was married in August, 2011 to Jason Felici, a fellow Senior at Gettysburg Seminary. Jess is a person with a vibrant and joyful personality who you will quickly embrace.
